Born in Japan, Tina Igarashi began her artistic journey after arriving in the United States and enrolling at College of the Canyons in California, where she took her first drawing class in 1991—and never stopped. Her passion for classical realism led her to continue her studies at the Indiana Art School and ultimately to train under some of the most respected names in the atelier tradition. Tina studied with David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw, Joanna Arnett, Peggy Baumgaertner, and eventually Juan Martinez at the Realist Academy in Toronto.
Tina's dedication to fine art and traditional technique is reflected in her work and her teaching. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including a prestigious honor at the Georgia Portrait Society competition, as well as accolades from various art competitions across the United States.
